Nakkaş Rug

We had a beautiful time at Nakkas — the rugs are gorgeous and the salesmen take their time to explain where they come from and how they’re made. They showed us a dozen while bringing us apple tea and coffee. And the prices are fair! Would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Istanbul x

I stopped by Nakkaş just to have a look, and I honestly didn’t expect to be so impressed. I haven’t bought a carpet yet, but I completely fell in love with the handmade Hereke silk pieces, the detail and craftsmanship are unbelievable in person. What really stayed with me was how warm and kind the team was. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you to everyone!

I initially planned to just walk around — it felt like a rug museum. However, the rug experts were incredibly knowledgeable, and listening to them was truly impressive. I purchased a beige-toned, handwoven wool Oushak rug for my living room, and it fits my home beautifully. There were so many options that choosing was not easy, but I truly believe I found the perfect one. I did see lower prices elsewhere, but the quality here was outstanding and absolutely worth the difference.

This is the place to buy real rugs. Duha was really helpful in showing us some great rugs and helping us make a decision.

This was a very unique experience among the rug stores I have been to. The store shows demonstrations of the extensive craftsmanship of the Turkish style of silk rug hand weaving and houses a cistern under the multi-level shop. Cengiz was a kind and lovely host and all attendants were knowledgeable and friendly.

Мне понравилось это место. Не пафосно, людей нет. В антикварном магазине хозяину, видно, было скучно и он нам показал свои товары. В платных цистернах не были, сравнивать с ними не могу, но эта для знакомства вполне устроила. Нашим гидом был кот. ????
