Honestly, this was one of the most satisfying meals I had in Istanbul. I had just arrived from the airport, completely exhausted, still carrying the noise of the journey, and all I wanted was real local food. Somewhere far from tourist areas. Somewhere honest. The place is on the same metro line as the airport, so it is easy to reach. But what made it special was the walk there. You pass through a slightly uphill road with an incredibly beautiful sunset view. Not the kind made for content, but the kind that makes you stop for a moment and breathe. No exaggeration. At the end of the climb, you find this small local restaurant. Very lowkey. From the outside it looks simple, but once you step in, it immediately feels like home. The owner, an older woman, is incredibly kind. Not overly talkative, just genuinely caring. It feels like eating at someone’s house where the food is cooked with intention, not for tourists. The menu is deeply local. Eggs cooked with fragrant spices and oil sausage (Sucuklu Yumurta), slow-cooked vegetables, dolma, and home-style dishes you rarely see in tourist restaurants. The flavors are warm and comforting, not loud or flashy. This is the kind of food that instantly calms your body after a long journey. For me, this place was not just about taste. It was about timing, atmosphere, and the feeling of being welcomed while you are tired and far from home. If you are looking for an Istanbul that feels alive and human, not one filled with English menus and big restaurant signs, this place is exactly that. I'm Indonesian and It's certified halal if you're moslem! It's out of my expectations!

We stopped by this place on our way to the airport to get one last taste of the turkish cuisine. Little would we know that this would be the best food, service and environment yet on this one week trip in Istanbul. Lovely, lady in the shop, wonderful food, would give 6 stars if possible❤️

Delicious food, best service ever.

The food was very delicious and the host were very helpful. The prices also were cheaper than other places in the area. We ate menemen, a sort of omlet, which they prepared on the spot, after placing the order.
