Meis Express Ferry / Ferah Turizm (Meis Head Office / Meis Ana ofisi )

The service was terrible from beginning to end. It started with unclear pricing information. You read €25 for a round-trip ticket, but end up paying almost €40 due to taxes and service fees. Secondly, our departure was delayed by one hour. The highlight was an extra hour and fifteen minutes on the boat due to problems and delays at passport control on the island. Despite the limited time, we enjoyed our visit, but due to the confusing boarding times on the ticket, we had to return earlier than expected, only to realize again that we would not depart on time. The icing on the cake was exiting the boat. Stuck in a big, understandably impatient crowd, we had to wait again. To say in words of another tourist, "With the travel time today, I could have flown back to the UK." I understand that a trip from Turkey to the EU and back requires certain security measures and controls, but four hours of travel time to an island two kilometers from the coast is excessive. There was no communication, no excuses, and no explanation. Meanwhile, the competitor line, MeisFerryLines, managed to do everything in half the time.

The ferry left an hour late, and you spend most of the little time you have on the island waiting in line for customs (first on the Turkish side, then on the greek side). The ferry was also late on the way back and they give you imprecise information about boarding. The trip is also pretty overpriced. Expect to pay 35€ for the ticket including Greek harbor tax plus an additional 4€ for Turkish customs. The trip to Kastellorizo is worthwhile, but you might want to check the other ferry which is faster and costs the same. Thus, you get the chance to see some of the island at least, instead of being on the boat all day.

Die Fähre ist viel zu spät losgefahren bei der Hinfahrt und bei der Rückfahrt. Zeiten auf dem Ticket haben keine Bedeutung. Haben an beiden Häfen über 2 Stunden auf dem Boot gewartet. Zudem wurde bei der Rückfahrt auf dem Schiff neben dem Bootspersonal geraucht. Der Qualm zog in die Innenraumkabiene wo die Passagiere sitzen, auch viele Kinder. Absolut nicht in Ordnung! Nie wieder!

Not recommended!!! I had booked and paid for a transfer to Dalaman Airport for 5:30 a.m. this morning. When I inquired, I was told that the meeting point would be at the office at 5:20 a.m. But no one was there. At 5:35 a.m., there was still no bus, so I called the number hanging above the office via WhatsApp and woke up whoever was there. The man then told me, still half asleep, that he would WhatsApp me the new meeting point. No apology for forgetting to inform me. Nothing! So I ran with my suitcase to Kaş Özgur Turiszm, the competing company, where luckily the bus was still waiting. The driver wanted to charge me another 800 TL. Since he didn't speak English, it was difficult to make him understand that I had already paid. He was very irritated, which I can understand, but he eventually accepted it. I definitely cannot recommend Transfer Kaş! If you are looking for a good and inexpensive transfer from Dalaman Airport to Kaş or vice versa, I can highly recommend Gümüş Travel. It is cheaper than the others, runs much more frequently, and is super organized. Incidentally, the driver from Kaş Özgür Turizm was extremely friendly and a very careful driver.

Meis adasına gitmek için tercih ettim. Evrakları resmen son dakika teslim etmiş gibi oldum. Sağolsunlar o kadar çok ilgilendiler ki çok memnun kaldım. Ben evraklar yetişmez belki diye düşünüyordum ama özellikle Hakan bey elinden geleni yaptı. Gelecek yaz tekrar görüşmek üzere Meis express:)

!!Additional Fees!! Be aware that the ticket Price does not include the Türkiye Harbour fee (appr. 130 TL) and also not the greek fee (5€). Buying the ticket online might be Cheaper (28€). We paid 30€ at the office. Everything plus fee. So in total we paid 37,70€ per Person to Meis. Overall the Ferry is clean, the Trip is Nice. Schedule is Not chaotic, but better be early than late. Our ferry started later than scheduled (10 Minutes), but left early from Meis (15 Minutes earlier). Also the trip takes much longer than announced. The boatride alone was 15-20 Minutes. But the manouver in and out of the harbour is not included there. For leveling your expectations: We arrived at the ferry in Kas at 09:00 (start 09:30) and were on our way in Meis at 10:40. One boat ride includes two passport controls. So Four times in total for the same day return trip. Plan your time accordingly. Also before you book your ticket, Check the opening hours of the attractions in Meis. All churches, the Museum and the Moschee were closed on our Trip.

My experience was pleasant. Team was easy to communicate. But here are 2 things that may help you . 1- there is additional fee of 5 euro and 120 lira after arriving there . Back , when ship was supposed to leave 16:30 , ship left 16:20 . Kastellorizo is absolutely worth visiting and meis ferries could be good choice for the experience.
