Passionnant et un beau parcours muséal. On aimerait y voir les mosaiques du Palais impérial qui pourrissent dans le musée des mosaiques fermé depuis des lustres ... Les sarcophages sont saisissants et la richesse des pièces est impressionnante. Ne pas manquer le jardin avec ses belles pierres antiques qui le décorent.

Całkiem fajne muzeum. Wystawy dobrze oznakowane, piękny budynek z zewnątrz. Jednak troszkę czegoś mi brakowało ???? Wejście do muzeum w cenie karty Museum Pass Istanbul.

Olağanüstü yer. Burası görülmeden ölünmez. Resimdeki kolyeyi 2500 yıl önce bu topraklarda yapmışlar.

Uzun uzun vakit geçirmelik harika biryer. Müze kart ile giriş yapabiliyorsunuz.Çok ilgi çekici. İçerdeyken vaktin nasıl geçtiğini anlamıyorsun. İnanılmaz biz tarih yatıyor. Ona göre hazırlıklı gitmenizi detaylı uzunca vakit geçirmenizi öneririm. Ama sergileyen eserlerde daha çok bilgi olmasını beklerdim. Bence bilgilendirme çok az. Kaliteli vakit geçirmek farklı bir deneyim istiyorsanız müzeleri gezin ;)

Girişte 40 dakika sıra bekledikten sonra Gişeye ulaşıyorsunuz. bilet kesen kişiler hangi sınava tabi olup oraya geliyor çok merak ediyorum, dil bilmez hadi tamam suratı gülmez kaba soru sorarsın cevap vermez. İçeride güvenlik diye dikilen kişiler dik dik bakar. Eşim wc yi sordu ona bile cevap veren bulamadık hani bırakın eserler hakkında bilgi almayı ????

Would give 4-5 stars for the content of the main collection in the Archaeology Museum building, which is a very rewarding traversal of classical period Western Anatolia. Unfortunately the rest of the museum experience (as visited in December 2025) leaves much to be desired. Except for the main building (and maybe not all of the main building?) other collections are under long term renovation. The grounds are a mess with the only available bathrooms in cluttered hallway in an administrative building, non-existent or out of commission accessibility features, broken entry turnstiles, etc. That of course doesn't stop them from charging the same ticket prices as the Louvre. As others have noted, don't let them automatically railroad you into buying the audio guide (which also has a kludgy and complicated setup process) for an extra $10 USD if you don't want it. The main collection has very good English-language descriptive panels. One can only hope that money is going toward a museum experience worthy of a good collection.

First the bad. Just like other locations in the center, this place has a huge issue with audio guides, but here it's complimented by the ticket office pushing you to buy a broken discharged pair of crappy headphones. This is a plain scam. Once I returned, they refunded without any question. Other than this, the museum is great and it was a pleasure visiting it.
