If there was an option for less than 1 star, I would definitely give it. First, when I arrived, there was no sign showing where the place was. If I didn’t have internet, I would have been lost for a long time. I called the number they provided, but the person didn’t speak English. Thankfully, I understand Turkish, so I managed. Second, when I got to the reception (which doesn’t even look like a reception), I saw two guys fighting while others were just watching. Great start! Then, I noticed a guy smoking right there in the reception. I have an allergy to smoke, but I told myself, “It’s okay, I’ll just go to my room and stay there.” But when they gave me the room, it was dirty and smelled awful. The smoke smell was so strong that I couldn’t breathe properly. I decided to go downstairs, but the hallways were also full of smoke. I was already taking allergy medicine, and this just made everything worse. Honestly, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a "hotel" (which, by the way, is not even a real hotel). In the end, I went to a 5-star hotel. I wasn’t even looking for something fancy, just a clean room in a smoke-free place. I think anyone would expect at least that! And till now, they didn't think of refunding me. They didn't answer when I asked for a refund, but I will write more reviews if I didn't get it. Edit after their response to clarify: There are two clear lies in their response. I would have respected their statement if they had just stopped comparing their so-called “hotel” to a five-star hotel. But let’s be honest—this is just a random building with nothing to do with hotels. As for the price, it was not cheap at all. In fact, I have now booked a five-star hotel for almost the same price they advertise online. You can even check the pictures for yourself. Now, regarding smoking—let’s be clear: smoking in enclosed public places is illegal under Turkish law. The reception is a closed public space where guests come and go. I have a video showing someone smoking inside the reception. Initially, I just wanted to leave my review and move on, but after this response, I may now take legal action and file a police complaint because this affected my health. The second false claim they made is completely unacceptable—saying that I asked for an employee’s number. The truth (which I have proof of, as I record all my calls) is that after I left, the girl working there called me. When she found out that we were from the same country, she spoke to me in our language. Later, I called the same number to ask about the cancellation process, and she told me that it was not her number and gave me her personal number herself. She dictated the number to me—I never asked for it. Anyone who knows me knows that I treat people with respect, I don’t cause unnecessary problems, but I do demand my rights. Even in my conversation with her, I said that if they refuse to refund me, I would rather that they give the money to her instead. If your place is bad, that’s your issue. But if you lie to customers and try to tarnish their reputation, then that’s serious. For that, I will take legal action for defamation and false accusations. I have all the evidence—the video and the recorded call.
