Grand Çakıroğlu Hotel

I don't highly reccomend to stay this hotel at all. The staffs' behavior is surprisingly rude and uneducated. First of all, they never reply to their emails sent to their email address on their website. And then, they mistakenly made a payment from my international credit card which I put the numbers at the online reservation that is supposed to only for making sure the reservation, not for the payment as they never mentioned that.(unless no show up.) (I put this card number because i'm foreign and I don't have a Turkish credit card so.) However, the reception staff at the check-in time forgot about that and asked me to pay at the counter. I paid with my Turkish debit card in TL as I could never know that my payment is already done through my credit card as it is not shown on my transaction receipt yet. in the next morning at the check-out time, even after checking out and in the last minutes when we almost left the hotel at the parking lot, they came and told me that they actually made a payment twice and the staff last night "forgot" to tell me. I told them to cancel the credit card transaction since it charges exchange rate balance, but they never understood and sent me back to my Turkish debit account in TL. I asked them for copensastion for that balance with explanation, but they ignored. Even after my turkish friend called them, they said that they will pay the balance back the next day through their manager, however, they never did anything and kept ignoring me for 2 weeks. Finally after I sent them a message that I will report them, they replied to me that they "misunderstood" and "didn't know" there was the balance and loss because of their mistake. Then they finally sent me the balance back. They still never even apologize once until here and at all. From all this unpleasant experience at this hotel, I would like to say do not stay in this hotel while there are more and more good hotels in Aksaray. I will never ever stay here again.
