We bumped in to Garden 1897 while walking back to our hotel and we got very surprised by how good this place is! The food was amazing and all the waiters were very kind and helpful! Emre was our waiter and he took very good care of us. Only “”problem”” is that the portions are very big, so come with a very empty stomach to enjoy it to it fullest! Would recommend ????

Emre was a wonderful host and took care of service very well, food was very tasty and menu has a variety of options

Emre and the rest of the staff were really welcoming and attentive. The shrimp casserole was delicious but the pide was just ok. Their lemonade was good and they offered a very tasty complimentary baklava with tea after dinner. All in all, this place seems to be geared towards tourists, but it’s a nice experience with lovely music and cute decor. A tad expensive for what you get, but I would choose it over the other tourist restaurants in the area, where waiters are practically harassing you to come inside. (Also, shout out to the heating on this very rainy winter day!)

Absolutely amazing experience and the best food and service we’ve had in Istanbul. Riza definitely made the experience better, so attentive and kind to us. Thank you for your hospitality, we hope to come back soon!
