I want to start by thanking Nadi, the return agent, for his excellent customer service and clear communication. He has a strong work ethic and treats customers professionally and I believe this is how he treats everyone, not just me. Great job. I chose Enterprise mainly because of its global branding and reputation for good customer service. As someone who has worked in the car rental industry, I know firsthand that renting a car can easily become a headache without clear communication and proper direction. During this holiday season, I rented from Enterprise three times. Once from Istanbul Airport to İzmir, and two short rentals from a city location in İzmir. Unfortunately, my third rental experience was disappointing and seemed to highlight a lack of employee training and development. I had reserved a midsize car, but it was not available upon arrival. First, I was told the vehicle was at a car wash about 10 minutes away, and I was offered to go there myself to pick it up which is highly inconvenient. Eventually, I was given a panel van (Ford Tourneo Courier) instead. Both the interior and exterior were dirty, which is unacceptable. What made the situation worse was a statement from the sales agent, Burak Turan, who mentioned that “customers in Turkey are generally okay with picking up rentals from a car wash or receiving dirty cars.” This was very unfortunate to hear and does not align with Enterprise’s global brand standards. In short, this experience points to the need for better employee training, development, and alignment with company culture and brand values. I hope this feedback is helpful and taken constructively. Additional as of Jan 27th 2026 This was my third rental from the same branch, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. I had a prepaid reservation, but the sales associate Merve Gölemez pushed hard for an upgrade because they claimed they ran out of my reserved class. The car I was given was incredibly dirty and only had half a tank of gas when I picked it up. Because of this experience, I’m downgrading my rating from 3 stars to 1 star.

Renting a car in Turkey is usually a headache. Scams, vague terms and constant friction are the norm. That was not the case here. Jon at Enterprise Rent-A-Car made the whole process smooth and transparent. Clear communication, no nonsense, and he was responsive on WhatsApp. If you are in Izmir and want a stress free, scam free car rental, I strongly recommend this place.
