Climbing Antalya School

had an amazing experience with Climbing Antalya. The location, the routes, and the overall atmosphere were incredible perfect for anyone who loves outdoor climbing and wants to feel both challenged and safe. A special thank you to Volkan, who is honestly the best lead climbing teacher. He explains everything clearly, gives you confidence, and makes you feel secure while still pushing you to improve. His patience, knowledge, and calm energy made the whole experience so much better. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Turkey and wanting to climb, learn, or improve their lead climbing skills. I would definitely climb with them again!

I climbed with Volkan and his fellow guide Arda for nearly three weeks, and it was the best sport climbing experience I’ve had. Volkan has been climbing in the region for decades and leads the bolting teams as well Safety, climbing and crag ethics, technique and training, and tons of hard climbing! 10/10 best guiding in the region - I’ll be back!

We booked a 3-day course for 2 people to learn the transition from indoor lead climbing to outdoors. Volkan is passionate, supportive and patient. Not only is he a great teacher, but also leads the routesetting team in Geyikbayırı. He has very high standards concerning safety in climbing, belaying and bolting, which enabled us to focus on learning. We covered leading, anchorage, cleaning, falling and site safety, all while climbing the whole day. Thanks for the great time Volkan :)

9 days of climbing and learning with Arda, super fun! I wish had more time and I definitely will be back. Learned a lot, felt super safe and challenged in a good way that made me progress

We had a great time. We were beginners and where taken care of very well. Our trainer, arda, has a golden heart and was able to manage differnt levels very well. We whete happy to have chosen this school and we would love to return tomorrow!

We climbed with Arda for three days and had a genuinely excellent experience from start to finish. Ahead of the trip, Volkan was highly responsive and supportive. He helped us make sure we had the right equipment and arrived properly prepared, which made a big difference for me as a beginner. On the rock, Arda was an outstanding guide: calm, fun to climb with, and impressively thorough in how he teaches. I appreciated how seriously he took the theoretical foundations of climbing, and how clearly he translated that into practical, confidence-building guidance. My partner is experienced and I was new, and they did a great job choosing routes that worked for both of us. We were both challenged in the right ways and had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to climbing with them again soon.

Arda was an exceptional climbing coach and guide. As beginner climbers, we felt completely supported from the very start. He took the time to patiently build our confidence and develop our skills at a pace that felt both challenging and encouraging. He made climbing incredibly enjoyable while always prioritising safety, which allowed us to relax and truly immerse ourselves in the experience. His knowledge is extensive, and he shared thoughtful advice that has stayed with us beyond the trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to climbing and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn in a safe, inspiring environment.

Me and my 2 boys 11 and 9 had a lot of fun! Volkan was methodical and kind to newbies like us. Provide challenging climbing routes for us to climb yet realistic with our capabilities. Beautiful view of Antalya! Highly recommended.

Volkan is not only an excellent climbing teacher and guide but also a route setter that is highly engaged in Geyikbayiri (you can find his name under many routes) and knows this place better than many. I booked two sessions with Volkan when I arrived here the first time. His professionality in teaching and guidance, his focus on safety, but as well (or let’s say even more) his kind personality and knowledge and history he shared with me made it a great start here and helped me a lot to become more acquainted with outdoor climbing and to improve my skills. I can recommend him to everyone looking for climbing lessons or guidance in this area, and probably will take as well again some lessions with him whenever i come back.

We spent 1 day climbing with Volkan, as we were not very experienced with outdoor climbing and were not familiar with the crags. He taught us everything and allowed us freedom to lead outdoors, while ensuring we did so safely. It was a really worthwhile experience to climb in geyikbayırı with volkan, he even provided us snacks and tea at his beautiful home! Truly appreciate the generosity and welcome from volkan.
