Probably the first British tourist to wander into this place! Hakkâri is for some reason not recommended to travel to unless essential by my government's Foreign Office. After initial confused looks from local customers and the staff I found the place to be very welcoming. Staff were helpful and happy to look after my luggage for a bit while I looked around town. Plenty of options for food and drinks. Regional music playing on speakers and optional Kurdish Halay dancing with the staff and regulars if you want. There's a smoking area and a shisha smoking area (so technically nowhere is smoke free) if you have already travelled this far in this part of the world you will have learned to deal this I guess :D
