Bereketzade Çeşmesi

Galata kulesinin hemen yaninda bulunan kitabesi okunakli osmanlidan gunumuze kadar yok olmadan kalabilen tarihi çeşme 1 mahmudun annesi tarafindan yaptirilmiş

Quiet, historic spot tucked away from the crowds. The Bereketzade Fountain feels like one of those places you only notice if you’re actually walking and exploring, which makes it even more special. Beautiful old stonework and a nice reminder of everyday life in historical Istanbul rather than big monuments. Worth a short stop if you’re nearby and want something authentic and low key.

This 15th century drinking water fountain was commissioned by Bereketzade Haci Ali bin Hasan. He was head-muezzin (a person who calls people to prayer) of Sultan Mehmet the Conquerer.
