ARS Rent a Car

I might be the first foreigner to give a testimony for ARS, so hear me out: The owner (Refet) and his son is a warm & honest person, overall my experience is quite smooth without unnecessary headaches. You deal with them directly, as it’s a family business. More details on my experience: 1. You can communicate through whatsapp with them, you can use english as they use translator, however you should expect a hiccup in translation here and there. 2. They do delivery, in my case as i took a bus from istanbul to mengen, they deliver the car to the bus station. 3. They use a contract, you will sign a legal docs Which details everything including current millage. No shady business. 4. They won’t require deposits if you rent for more than 3 days, and they don’t ask your credit card or whatsoever, so if you have to pay deposit, pay in cash. The cash should be returned to you later (Unlike shady rentals who charge in debit/credit card). 5. Be mindful of toll charge (HBS), you have to pay for it yourself, they will bill it upon end of contract. 6. The car is not in a pristine condition, expect a daily beater car with battle scars (lol), but it’s drivable, gets you from A to B. So if you happen to need a car in Bolu/Mengen, reach them out, they’re still in business.
