My husband and I got scammed by one of the men. Watch out for plate number TR07H0085. Man with lighter hair and eyes. He promised to send us to a club near Alanya for a fixed amount (€45 from Alanya to the club and back), but when he dropped us off he demanded €50 extra. We gave him €20 at the start for taking us to the club. Beforehand we said we wouldn’t take the taxi AT ALL if my husband would get rejected at the club because of the dress code (no sporty clothes). He promised they will let us in because I’m a properly dressed woman and he said he will talk to the security in the worst case. And of course we had bad luck…but then the chauffeur said “I’m willing to drive to your house and back to this club to change clothes” without ever mentioning a change in the price. We said that was a really nice gesture since he made a mistake and had assured us we would get in. But when we got back to the entrance of the club he suddenly demanded more money. He didn’t say anything at all about this before or during the car ride. He even threatened to call the police so after he had been screaming at us for 15 mins, we eventually ended up giving him €20 more than promised at the start to get rid of this man. The money isn’t even the issue but the broken promise/lack of communication and also the worst treatment that ruined our night. If he told us we needed to pay more we wouldn’t even have stepped in the car.
